"how one man’s pain of creation can become another’s joy" is the most bittersweet of paradoxes. This article spoke to me in a number of ways. Glad I found it today

Abhishek!! What a wonderful and thoughtful piece of writing. So illuminating and HIGHLY relatable.

Who is your biggest musical inspiration?

Thank you Sandra!! 😇 I was really inspired by rock guitarists like Kirk Hammett (Metallica), John Petrucci (Dream Theater) when I started, and later fell in love with other genre players from blues and jazz like Gary Moore, Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Mayer and Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass (too many to name!! 😬)

The magic well of inspiration is bottomless! 🎶

Cheers Chris! I’ve got WOP to thank for assuaging a fear of publishing, so soon hopefully 🤞

This line really hit home: It’s the commitment to create that matters, and is perhaps an intentional decision that must sometimes be uncomfortable and other times, excruciatingly painful.

I'm not sure if you're a philosophy fan, but I recently dug into Whitehead's philosophy. He talks about God as the act of creation. Participating in that act is painful, uncomfortable, and rapturous. I saw all of that in your writing here. And I'm rooting for you to record your own album. I'll buy it on Vinyl when you do.

Thanks so much Latham, your support means a lot 🙏 I’ve always had a nudge to delve deeper into philosophy, maybe this time is a good excuse to do it. I’ve stayed away from it I think for a fear of being biased, and maybe once I have a stable body of work that reflects my own philosophy I can feel safer exploring other schools of thought 🙂

If I ever have my own vinyl, I’ll send you the first copy! 🥂
